This safari offers the fullest spectrum of Tanzania's breathtaking landscapes and unparalleled wildlife spectacles, promising a deeply profound and unforgettable African adventure.

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your grand safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your Arusha hotel. A comfortable drive takes you to Tarangire National Park, celebrated for its ancient baobab trees and colossal elephant herds. After completing park formalities, your Maasai Spirit Expedition guide will lead you on a full day of exhilarating game drives along the Tarangire River, a vital water source that attracts a vast array of wildlife. You’ll search for lions, leopards, zebras, wildebeest, and various antelopes. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed inside the park. In the late afternoon, you’ll drive to a lodge or tented camp in Karatu, near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park to Central Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you’ll depart for a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, a hidden gem offering diverse habitats. You’ll explore its groundwater forests for primates, open grasslands for general game, and the lake shoreline, famed for its seasonal flamingo populations and unique birdlife. You’ll also keep an eye out for the elusive tree-climbing lions. After a packed lunch in Manyara, you will begin your scenic drive to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, entering its vast plains. An initial afternoon game drive will lead you to your chosen lodge or tented camp in the central Seronera region, where you’ll settle in for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full Day Serengeti National Park (Central / Migration Focus)

Today is dedicated to a full day of extensive game drives in the magnificent Serengeti National Park. Your Maasai Spirit Expedition guide, drawing on their deep knowledge of animal movements and recent sightings, will focus on areas offering the best opportunities to witness the Great Wildebeest Migration (seasonal), whether it’s vast herds on the move, river crossings (specific months), or calving (specific months). Even outside migration peaks, the central Serengeti is rich with resident predators and plains game. You’ll have countless opportunities for photography and intimate wildlife encounters. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the heart of the bush, returning to your Serengeti accommodation in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Full Day Serengeti National Park (Northern / Eastern / Western – Migration Focus)

Another full day is dedicated to maximizing your Serengeti experience, with your guide strategically positioning you to follow the migration or explore other rich wildlife areas, depending on the season. This additional day allows for a deeper exploration of specific sectors like the northern (Mara River crossing, Jul-Oct), western (Grumeti River crossing, May-Jul), or southern (calving season, Dec-Mar) Serengeti, if the migration patterns align. Even if the migration is dispersed, the Serengeti offers incredible year-round game viewing, including numerous prides of lions, leopards, cheetahs, and vast numbers of plains animals. All meals will be enjoyed in the park, culminating in another night at your Serengeti lodge or tented camp.

Day 5: Full Day Serengeti National Park (Further Exploration / Southern – Migration Focus)

This third full day in the Serengeti provides unparalleled flexibility for deep immersion. Depending on migration patterns and recent sightings, your guide will continue to navigate the vast plains, ensuring you witness as much of this incredible ecosystem as possible. This extra day allows for a more relaxed pace, more time for photography, and the chance to follow specific animal behaviors or locate elusive species. Whether focusing on predators, birdlife, or the sheer scale of the herds, this day solidifies your Serengeti experience. All meals will be enjoyed in the park, culminating in a final night at your Serengeti lodge or tented camp.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater Rim

After a final early morning game drive in the Serengeti and a late breakfast, you’ll begin your scenic drive out of the park, heading towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Your journey takes you up to the majestic rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, where you’ll be greeted by breathtaking panoramic views of the caldera below. You’ll check into your lodge or tented camp situated on the crater rim or in the nearby Karatu area. The afternoon offers time to relax and absorb the stunning surroundings. Dinner and overnight will be at your chosen accommodation, with anticipation building for the next day’s descent into the “Garden of Eden.”

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive to Arusha

Today is dedicated to the extraordinary Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After an early breakfast, you’ll make the thrilling descent 600 meters to the crater floor. This natural amphitheater is a

wildlife paradise, boasting an incredibly high concentration of animals, including lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, and an excellent chance to spot the endangered black rhino – all five of the “Big Five” are often seen here in a single day.
