5 Days Tanzania Safari

Tour Overview

Our 5 Days 4 Nights safari offers a truly comprehensive exploration of Tanzania’s celebrated Northern Circuit, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in four distinct and spectacular national parks. This journey combines the unique charm of Tarangire with its colossal elephant herds, the iconic and vast plains of the Serengeti – home to the Great Wildebeest Migration (seasonal) and an abundance of predators. You’ll then experience the breathtaking wildlife concentration within the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and conclude with the diverse ecosystems and birdlife of Lake Manyara National Park.

This itinerary provides ample time for extensive game drives, ensuring a rich and varied experience of East Africa’s most remarkable wildlife spectacles and stunning landscapes.

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your Arusha hotel. Drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its towering baobab trees and large elephant herds. Enjoy a full-day game drive with picnic lunch inside the park, spotting lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and more. In the late afternoon, continue to Karatu for dinner and overnight at a lodge or tented camp.

Day 2: Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater – Later to Central Serengeti

After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a spectacular game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage site is home to the Big Five and an incredible density of wildlife. After a picnic lunch on the crater floor, ascend and drive onward to the Serengeti. Arrive in the central Seronera region for an afternoon game drive before heading to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Spend the entire day exploring the Serengeti’s vast plains. Morning and afternoon game drives maximize your chances of witnessing predators in action, large herds of wildebeest and zebras, and diverse birdlife. Picnic lunch in the bush keeps you immersed in the wilderness. Return to your Serengeti lodge or camp for dinner and overnight under the starry skies.

Day 4: Serengeti to Karatu

Enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti before beginning your journey back toward Karatu. The drive offers more wildlife encounters along the way. Arrive in Karatu by late afternoon for dinner and overnight at your lodge or tented camp.

Day 5: Karatu to Lake Manyara National Park – Return to Arusha

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, known for its lush forests, soda lake with flamingos, and tree-climbing lions. A game drive reveals elephants, hippos, giraffes, and abundant birdlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon — marking the end of your unforgettable safari.
